You will not find a lot of information about Mario Asencio guitar workshop.
All I can find is an auction on Catawiki where the guitar has been sold for 400 Euros
Mario Asencio was established in Catarroja (Valencia), calle Sanjurjo.
Neck
Neck is made of mahogany and the fretboard is straight.
Tuners are really super smooth, it’s quite rare on old spanish guitars were most of the time tuners quality is quite low!
Guitar scale is 640 mm means it’s 1 cm lesser than standard classical guitars, it’s easier to play for the left hand!
- Neck profile is a big D
- Frets life is great (90% – 95%)
- Action : 4 mm at 12th fret
Body
The top is made of Pine and back and sides seems to be mahogany but the color is quite clear (or maybe walnut, look at the photos!).
The good thing is here is that top, back and side are made with massive woods, no plywood here!
Bridge is made with bone saddle
There is some sign of cracks that have been repaired long time ago.
